I'm with you on this Loranda. We do not use flouride in our household for the very reasons listed in the link you provided.
We went to a new dentist last week and she was adamate about using flouride treatments on my daughter. My daughter has environmental illness and has NEVER had flouride treatments. The dentist actually had the nerve to tell me that if I didn't allow her to use the treatment, she would report me to child welfare. WHAT! How absurd is that. I gave her my cell phone and told her to call. She finished cleaning my daughter's teeth - without the flouride treatment. BTW, my child has never had a cavity.
I then sent the dentist a packet of information about flouride and a note, letting her know we would not be returning. Now I'm on a quest for a holistic dentist.

I guess I'm a guilty parent as my family does not get tap/filtered water - we are a bottled water family (without fluoride). Personally, I would not use a filtering system that would keep the fluoride in the water. I do not even allow my son to get fluoride treatments at the dentist.
