I have been involved in holistic healthcare for over 20 years. I own a business called The Unique Cookery whereby I hold in-home and customized cooking classes, group presentations, and write articles. I also have authored and sell a natural foods cookbook series. My 'specialty' areas include soyfoods, grains (great for wheat sensitive individuals), baby foods, fruit sweeteners, lowfat, and organic cooking.Each area has a cookbook. Each recipe contains a nutritional analysis to help with meal planning. I also am a featured columnist for a local publication. In addition, I publish/author a FREE ezine titled 'The Clue' whereby I share healthy eating/living ideas with my readers. I simply love the 'light bulb going off' look in one's eyes as they learn something new. :)
My passion for proper usage of the English language has resulted in a very fulfilling career in a variety of writing fields. I am a published author of both books and articles. I write press releases, business plans, grant proposals, and business materials. I love doing research and recently wrote a popular article on the history of the Pacific NW salmon. This is an addition to my history of various foods articles which I have authored. Did you know that our orange carrots came about back in the 1600's during the Dutch's House of Orange parliament? In an attempt to satisfy royalty, farmers cross bred red and yellow carrots to arrive at orange. Cool, eh? :)
I love to write. Currently, I publish/write/edit a newsletter featuring local businesses which is very popular.
I love the entrepreneurial spirit and encourage all who become involved in it. To me, it is interesting why some have it and others do not. The human psyche is very intriguing.
I have been volunteering as a Wishgranter with Make A Wish for over 10 years. It really puts things into perspective.
I also play the flute and offer private concerts.
I am hoping to make friends on RYZE and help each other succeed.
