Hi Hans,
I wonder how long you have been in China?
Lets be fair a little bit, I was living in Canada for some years, and Canadian Medical are simular to USA, not quite, but 99%.
I had fever or flu in Canada, my family doctor always told me to have a rest and drink plenty of water, and rest is of the most importance.
In China, being As Doctor, his/her official wages are shameless, over 80% of their incomes are from the commissions of the medicines they offer to their patients, and the easier and highest commissions is from the "Diaozhen" or "Guashui" as you describe. Please! keep the Doctors alive and they will be need it during Emergency! Who knows who will have an Emergency?
I noticed just simply because I went out to the communities with the local culture and I learn where to find a good Doctor who would treat me better.
Xiamun! there are lots of Good Doctors. Try to locate them from your labourhood. I have confidence that, next time, when you are Sick, you won't be complain any more.
Regrets
John Ps, should someone doesn't like my post, please feel free to take it out and I shall post on another network.

The doctor just took a peek at the symptoms and suggested four bottles of "guashui" without even asking for the reason I was having the fever. > >And what is it about eating all these pills and medicine upon the slightest sign of sickness. My god. I've had fevers, upset stomachs colds many times in my youth, but were always cured with a couple of days rest. Unless it was a really really serious problem. But here in China even the tiniest thing is treated with massive medical measures. > >What's the case? Private Reply to John Cheng (new win) |
