Stranger ..I am avid reader of obituary column in Hindu and used to get surprised at the way sometimes obituary ads are placed by the near and dear relatives separately. I used to wonder whether the husband/father would have been happy to see three ads placed differently by three members of his family ..goes to show how united they are !!! Now coming to the point, I have made the post only after going through the recent obituary ads in Hindu and today if you can see it is just 4 and day before also ( I think) it was just 4/5..Hence I just wondered whether recession has hit the obituary column too?
Sekar Narasimhamoorthy..May be you are correct as regards to business POV.
Soeb Fatehi..You won't be saying this if you keenly observe the obituary ads placed in the newspapers. Sometimes I wonder whether it shows their love for the deceased or whether they want to show who they are..Hence, the words.. May be you feel it is insensitive communication but except for a few who really mean well when they place the ad in the obituary column. in my openion, others do it to advertise their love/ themselves only. I stand and sit by my words. Private Reply to Lavanya Karalkar (new win) |
